Next Development Cycle!
So now the dust settles on S24(1) , the focus returns to another development round! Probably in a week or two I will start to drop snapshot builds leading up to the next version ( name of the viewer TBC ) the feedback so far has been positve with smooth render and solid visuals.
So it wouldnt be much of a blogpost if I dont tease some images from the upcoming client :)
No these are not photo effects , these are live screencaps, hi-rez B&W , edge detect and nightvision. These are not old post process shaders either, they can also be stacked to produce some truly wild results.
The code uses a combination of compute shaders, AVX and multiprocessing, and work with the latest render pipeline so all current effects including tomemapping will work with what im calling S24 VFX.
Expect the first alpha sometime around build 2200+ and it will not be a default client you will have to select it from sourceforge.
