S24(2) - Drif - Release!

Onwards!

Calling it at Build 2382 :) , I have to remember the brief sometimes and the client is a perpetual beta to all intents and purposes. That being said there has been some serious effort put into so many components it feels like a completly different beast from S24(1).

Cleared up some backend stuff, python, cmake. Rescripted the installer with power options for end-users.
Added a Powershell auto build system (see wiki on SF). Did UI work see image above the alternate skin much enhanced. Re-introduced languages, and other general housekeeping.

In terms of LL features >178 commits ahead, Chat mentions are in, as is faves in inventory features from 2025.4 and .5
Hide L$ balance in snaps, latest inventory updates and current GLTF / Materials / PBR updates.
In chat just hit the @ key for the function, see preferences for the audio cue and colours.

For my part math wise - line and sphere handling have had a complete overhaul, dxhardware has been dragged into the light, threadqueue and threadpool overhauled, this is in conjuction with processor and procinfo, which have been re-worked extensively to match modern hardware. The ethos here is just because something continues to work does not mean it cannot be improved. And you can pretty much tell by the headers how old some of this stuff is!

Of course the VFX have been tweaked and have gone through several iterations, the viewer makes extensive use of AVX/AVX2 instructions replacing SIMD where applicable as I go. OpenMP and dynamic scheduling of intensive sections. I have had to be very careful to heavily comment to make clear what is LL code and what is not as large sections now bear little to zero resemblance to the original.

Anyway the patch list is as previously mentioned is sat on the SF page...

The core is 7.1.16 and the binary is fresh :) enjoy.

Much Love,
KL
